Katee Robert’s The Tarot Trials Is Out This Week

The Tarot Trials by Katee Robert is out this week, the first book of a trilogy.

The Tarot Trials is the first book in a new trilogy from Katee Robert, published by Tor. The US hardcover came out on October 20, 2026, and the UK edition from Tor UK follows on October 22.

Kestrel has to compete in the Tarot Trials to take her mother’s place as Champion of the Moon. Her mother was executed after her own win, and Kestrel wants to know why. She has to master new powers of shadow and illusion while she works through political alliances and betrayals.

The US edition is listed at 400 pages. Some listings describe a deluxe edition with stenciled edges, so check which one you are ordering. The date differs between the two countries, which is why you will see both October 20 and October 22 on retailer pages.

I haven’t read it. This is a heads-up for readers who followed Katee Robert from Dark Olympus and want to see her fantasy. If you pick it up, tell me how the tarot magic works for you.
